Trial Fitting

More progress on the Curlz dress. Here I have basted the whole bodice together. The thread that you can see are the sewing lines from the pattern that I have transferred to the front with the thread. (Thanks to the ladies at Feisdress for their great instructions here.) The original muslin bodice that I made for her was just a smidge too tight through the bust so I knew that I had to make an adjustment. I decided the best place for this would be in the princess seam. She has a fairly small waist and the bodice was loose through there, but I did not think that taking it in, in the waist would really accomodate her bust. So you can see the sewing lines in the princess seam because I gave her about an eighth of an inch extra in each seam. Perfect! Love how the bodice fits, and she thinks it is very comfortable. The waist is still a bit loose, but I put some ties in at the back dart which will take care of that just fine.
