Trial Fitting

Trial fitting More progress on the Curlz dress.  Here I have basted the whole bodice together.  The thread that you can see are the sewing lines from the pattern that I have transferred to the front with the thread.  (Thanks to the ladies at Feisdress for their great instructions here.)  The original muslin bodice that I made for her was just a smidge too tight through the bust so I knew that I had to make an adjustment.  I decided the best place for this would be in the princess seam.  She has a fairly small waist and the bodice was loose through there, but I did not think that taking it in, in the waist would really accomodate her bust.  So you can see the sewing lines in the princess seam because I gave her about an eighth of an inch extra in each seam.  Perfect!  Love how the bodice fits, and she thinks it is very comfortable.  The waist is still a bit loose, but I put some ties in at the back dart which will take care of that just fine.

The length will go down to the horizontal pink line.  Neckline will be finished as well.
