Blue lace fabric for Kate

These are some pictures of some fabric that I’ve had in my stash.  It might come in handy for another lovely young lady’s next dress so I am posting some pictures for her Mom to see.

Blue lace for Kate Close up of blue lace

The picture of the left is closest to the actual color.  It’s a very bright pretty blue.  There are small patches of silver glitter that look like crystals from a distance.  The lace is stretchy, but sews very easily.

The photo on the right is a single layer with some white behind it so you can really see the pattern.

Here is a picture of a small project that I used it for.          Used as overlay In this project the blue in the skirt is overlayed on a pink fabric that has a silver metallic thread in it.  It looks great together, and the blue was a dream to work with.  I may have used some spray adhesive to hold it in place while I worked.  But it layed nice and flat and did not sag or bunch.  In the sleeves, the blue is over white satin which is layered with the pink tissue lame.  Still….no problems with the blue.  Easy to match thread color.

I have 2yrds plus 6 inches of the blue.  It is about 45 inches wide with an additional 2-3 inches of the plain mesh on both ends.

I also have about 1 and half yds of shattered glass turquoise blue lycra if you’d like that too.  Thats a pretty common fabric that you’ve probably seen lots of places.  It’s yours for the asking.  I really wish you good luck with the next dress, and hope you feel like you can ask me any questions at all.  I would love to be of help.
