The Doll and Dress brought Tora good luck today as we took a First place. And she got many oooh’s and aaah’s today at the MHG Halloween Feist.

Thanks! I use the Feis dress pattern which I alter for each dress I make. Great place to start though! I use E6000 glue for the crystals, and even then there is some shedding and replacing that must be done. This dress took three weeks, with some down time while dd was away. The design for the crystal pattern was created by Susan Gowin of Feisdresses. A great place to see Susan’s designs as well as many excellent ones by Ann Donahue which you see on my other dresses is Taoknitter Arts. They both have websites with many resources. Good luck to your newly competing daughter!

oh my goodness! The dresses are absolutely gorgeous! I have a 9 year old who competed in her very first feis just this past Saturday so naturally I’m looking for dress patterns! Can I ask about a bajillion questions? What pattern did you use? You use glue to get the crystals to stick?? and how long did it take you to make that dress?I hope it’s okay to ask? Any thing you could tell me would be so much appreciated !!
